The in between moments…

It’s part of my approach, to keep one eye on the “main” event and another on the little moments of connection that happen in between. This photo was taken a few summers ago at a beautiful church in the Yorkshire Dales. A mother, taking her young baby out to comfort him amid the ceremony… made for a beautiful moment captured in time.

BEST FRIENDS

This one’s for the best furry friends, the ones who are our emotional support system, our joy and make us smile every day. If you are bringing a pet friend to a wedding, I recommend hiring help as it’s a lot for little ones to cope with all day & they don’t understand why they aren’t getting your full attention.

& if you aren’t getting married & have a pet… I URGE you to get professional photography. One day the photos will be all we have left and it’s so important to have good quality photos to remember everything about them 🥰

I regret not doing so with my childhood pets - it would have meant the world to have lovely photos of my cats, rabbits and even my fish! (FYI - I’m yet to do a fish photoshoot but I’m HERE FOR IT) 😋

Decor 🥰

The colours, the textures, all the tiny decisions that went into creating a masterpiece - it’s one of the most personal touches at weddings. To all the stylists, florists, groom & brides loved ones, and venue staff - you all work SO hard behind the scenes. You are the true unsung heroes of wedding days, everyone just comes in and I wonder if they always consider how it got look so pretty. Well - I see ya!! Why does inclusivity matter so much to me?

As a q***r adhd girly - believe me I’ve had moments of feeling like an outsider. And although I’m naturally outgoing, I absolutely have so much self doubt I’m always working through - so I make sure to SEE everyone I work with, to gently guide, to go at your pace and to have FUN 🥰👏♥️

7. Confetti

Todays post is all about confetti 🥰🎉 whether it’s bubbles, streamers, dried petals or paper - all are so much fun! It’s one of those moments you only really get to experience if you’re getting married!! And I’ll be ready and waiting to help co ordinate the crowd and get some lovely photos :)!
