I've been working on my new website and been choosing some pictures for my new portfolio. I laughed so hard when I saw this picture again. Some might recognise this tradition from Afrikaans weddings where the groom is given a hard time while giving his wedding speech. This was the most intense I'd ever seen up to that point. Poor Koos had one tough time trying to give his speech.

Safe in her dad's hands.

As a grownup (oh no! the dark side!) who works a lot with kids, I think this might be the thing I miss the most about being young(er) again. That feeling of being absolutely safe and secure. In fact, you probably don't even think about being safe and secure until you're my age and that's part of the wonder. I hope this little one enjoys it for as long as is humanly possible.
