My shots from last years trooping the colour. 🇬🇧
An amazing display of pomp and pageantry to mark the monarchs official birthday, and what a day for it: ☀️ From the king and queen, to Prince and princess of wales, to the household cavalry. 🇬🇧😍❤️

THE ROSE GARDEN 🌹 🪏 🪴
This garden was originally laid out in the 1960s as part or the gardens o Ranger’s House - a Georgian villa that was once home to the Ranger of Greenwich Park. It was restored in 1993-4 and again recently in 2023-5.
Even in one year the way the garden has matured is incredible, especially with the two new pergolas. 🌹
Mixing English shrub roses along with drought-tolerant perennials makes it great for the future, and the perfect setting alongside the rangers house. 🏠

🇬🇧 The Cenotaph, the nation’s central site of remembrance, is adorned with Union Flags throughout the four-day commemorations—reflecting its original unveiling in 1920 as a tribute to the fallen. Beginning Monday 5 May, it serves as a solemn focal point for reflection and a place to honour all those who lost their lives, both at home and overseas, during the Second World War. 🇬🇧 🕊️
