🎬 We were delighted to host an illuminatrix_dops and Illuminatrix Rising masterclass at our Shoreditch warehouse last week! ✨

Hosted by Tansy Simpson, Cinematographer Ashley Barron ACS gave us a fascinating insight into her work on the Netflix show ‘How to Get to Heaven from Belfast’. 🎥

Featuring clips from the show, the masterclass explored how it’s look and feel was crafted, how certain sequences were created, the challenges that arose during production, and the finer points of collaborating with the show’s director, as well as creating visual synergy between Blocks 1 and 2.

👀 DP Benjamin Lam in stealth mode on a short film this week - Alexa 35 & Cooke Optics Panchro/i Classic lenses.

👉For anyone not familiar with these lenses, they are essentially a modern incarnation of the classic vintage s2 and s3 lenses so come with the benefit of being colour matched and having modern housing and mechanics.

📹💚 Ronin 4D X DZOFilm Arcana Anamorphics 👌

The is becoming a really popular combo, most recently used by DP John Letsinger to shoot a live session at the Scunthorpe United Stadium - “We needed to be very quick and nimble and it was really easy to set up and use. The Arcanas had tons of character and pair really nicely with the camera. It had no problem with the weight. The autofocus was really impressive however I was very happy to have the focus unit for the tighter focal lengths.“
