SCARLET GLOSS by JAMES ELLIOTT 2026. Having created the first latex photos back in the early 80s by having the garments made (you couldn't buy them anywhere) I created some patterns and manufactured my own. So it makes me smile whenever I see the latest pop princess or whoever strutting their stuff in latex. I made a hobble skirt and a micro skirt in blue and one in black. I also used ciré and polyurethane on lycra. I also smiled at the years worth of 'Letters to the Editor' that ensued (must be a record). So it's interesting over 40 years on to see how it has all been absorbed into culture. The pix went all over the world in high end magazines and launched a zillion imitators. www.jameselliott.com

SERENITY SUBLIME by 2026 JAMES ELLIOTT. There are two versions of this, equally gorgeous. This one I started in November 2025 and spent a week perfecting it just recently. Sometimes.... just sometimes..... pure aesthetics are enough..... www.jameselliott.com

JAMES ELLIOTT DESCRIPTION : A journalist once asked Elliott’s muse of 10 years for three words to describe him. Without hesitation she replied "Intense Critical Mad".
Not sure about that but two out of three is not bad..... hahahaha. I think many people conflate highly creative with crazy.......

METAL MONUMENTAL by JAMES ELLIOTT 2026. I first created this last year but was never 100% happy with it so I went back to square one and did a completely new version of it. And I also evolved it. In the process I created something far superior. Happy now. www.jameselliott.com.

THE SOPHISTICATED SIMPLICITY OF ELEGANCE 2026 (evolution 3) by JAMES ELLIOTT - It is better yet in circular form. For a third time I completely reworked this and it is now one of the best I have created. I have withdrawn the original but for my money this is definitely drastically improved. One of the disadvantages of releasing work fast is that each time I look at it, I find ways to improve it. I retouch at the pixel level and often know that what I am doing is going to be noticed by one in a zillion. www.jameselliott.com.

LOVE'S LEGENDS LOST 2026 (Evolved) by JAMES ELLIOTT. I decided to replace the Mansfield inspired lady for one of my own creation. 30 years ago I created a piece called 'Aphrodite Autogenesis' which was a pioneering piece of computer art (Nobody did computer art back then). I was thinking about this when I created my first AI picture. I knew the legend of Venus rising up from the sea on a shell as the water drops dripping from her body turned into pearls. So I was thinking about Legends, Lies, Myths, Miracles and all that jazz. And thinking about Hollywood legends, walking on the water, parting the waves, all products of the imagination. What a fool believes... So I did this as a large format (36 inch) piece. It looks fantastic huge. Thanks to William Of Stratford for part of the title. I used to read him in the park as a teenager. Friends in Devon thought I was mad. I was also thinking about classical painting.... for some reason. www.jameselliott.com

SCARLET LOVE by James Elliott 2026 - I thought this one of my greatest glamour icons so I spent a long time evolving it. I added 2 chandeliers, added the electric blue to the staircase, changed the warmth of the side lamps. Enhanced her shape... the list goes on. I went a bit bonkers on A.I. - I worked on it day and night for a couple of weeks and created a number of masterpieces. Did some all nighters. Conclusion thus far. A.I. chucks some wonderful stuff at you complete with multiple errors and imperfections. This then involves manual work to correct or you discard it and do something else. It's infuriating as often the best one requires the most work. Overall I am immensely pleased with what I have done. Will show in due course. I especially love this piece. There is some stellar stuff.

METAPHYSICALITY 2026 by JAMES ELLIOTT. The word doesn't exist according to 'The Cambridge' but obviously 'metaphysical' does and so does 'physicality' and that is more or less what this image is about. So I merged them. Creating words for titles takes me back to 'Metasphere' 1975 and 'Pseudosynthesis 1976 and dozens of times since. I think this one of my best images so I have created it using a razor sharp 100mb file. 'Geometry is purity of form' says I.

AUTOPORTRAIT IN SCARLET 2026 by JAMES ELLIOTT - I have casual jackets and evening jackets. This is the latter. The portrait part is photography and the background is A.I. As many will know, a lot of my new work is a hybrid of photography, computer art and Art Intel. www.jameselliott.com.

“Elliott has remained faithful to his own self-portrait, as strong an identity as Welles or Hitchcock.” Quote by David Kilpatrick, the editor of the highly regarded PHOTON magazine in 1995. The first random comparison from the public was in Stringfellows nightclub. I was in the restaurant which had a glass partition and a well drunk punter leaned over said partition up to his waist and said "Lee Van Cleef". I said "What?" He repeated it and so I repliied "No I am Elliott, Who you?" Later I found out who Van Cleef was -The bad guy in The Good The Bad and The Ugly. I find cowboy films boring.
