Today I had the joy of meeting one of Britain’s most majestic residents the Red Deer (Cervus elaphus). Known as the largest native land mammal in the UK, these incredible creatures have roamed our landscapes for thousands of years.
This young one carried such a quiet grace, a reminder that even in the heart of London, wild beauty still thrives. Richmond Park is home to hundreds of red and fallow deer, living freely as they have since the 1600s. Watching them wander feels like stepping into another world, where time slows and nature takes the lead.
Captured with my Sony 100-400mm lens, a tool that lets me step closer into their world without disturbing their peace. Moments like these remind me why protecting our green spaces matters not just for us, but for every life that calls them home. 🌿
