This Aircraft departed the next morning, returning back to LHR later on the Monday.

Monarch Airlines was one of the major holiday airlines in the UK until 2017 when it ceased operations.

Always bringing a little bit of colour to the airport the fleet was easy to see with the blue and yellow contrasting with the white.

Here we have G-ZBAO taxiing in after landing at this airframe went onto serve with another UK airline that went into liquidation a few years later Thomas Cook as G-TCDV, it is now operating with in Mexico after a very brief spell with .

This last week has seen the closure of UK based airline Ascend Airlines, only operational for 2 years with a fleet of 737-800 and MAX 8 jets flying ACMI operations for airlines and sports teams.

Lucky to catch G-HODL on finals into last year even if it’s not the most inspiring livery out there.

A firm favourite of a lot of people was the 757-200, especially amongst charter airlines, one such example is example G-OOBC seen here taxiing out at a couple of years before its retirement.

G-OOBC was initially delivered to Air2000 back in March 2003, transferring to First Choice Airlines when it was renamed.
BC spent its entire passenger life with the Thomson (later group) and its predecessors.
Retired by in March 2020 from passenger service it underwent passenger to freighter conversion and currently operates in China as B-220J with SF Airlines.

Always nice to see this beauty, although not the first time I’ve seen this aircraft and livery it’s still worth getting again.

Here we have the beautiful 787-9 Dreamliner A6-BLV sporting the special livery advertising the landing into last Saturday (31/01/26) operating EY73 from .
