Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?
Why You Think You Look Better in the Mirror
Hereโs the thing: Youโre used to seeing yourself in reverse.
Every morning, the mirror greets you with a flipped version of your faceโthe one youโve been staring at since childhood. This is what you are used to seeing (Familiar with). It's typically the same mirror in the same environment, at the same distance, angle, and lighting. You are in control, turning your head this way and in a way that's familiar to you.
Cameras capture you as the world sees you, not as you see yourself.
And because your face is suddenly the wrong way around, it looks unfamiliar to your brain!
Unfamiliar = Uncomfortable.๐ฌ
Uncomfortable = "Ugh, I hate that photo." ๐ฑ
