It was great shooting this amazing Burger for Vegan Burgers by Mooshies Brick Lane, East London. I am grateful for Steven Nicolaides at Lúcuma for organizing this and Ana Paula Kelly for the amazing styling. The Burger is the restaurant’s classic called “What’s Ur Beef”, it’s completely vegan and made from black beans & quinoa, served with caramelised onions, burger sauce, served on a bed of lettuce with gherkins and melted vegan cheese. I shoot both food and drinks. I shoot in a studio as well as on location with a portable studio. I can shoots mail meals ans well as deserts. Generally I shoot for restaurants cookbooks and PR agencies.

When I went to shoot at Mooshies, I knew it would be a great time working with Food Stylist Ana Paula Kelly. I girl who works hard and plays harder. What I didn't know is that I was about to have the best vegan burger of my life. It was also nice to have Steven come to the shoot after he had helped organize it. He has a tendency for perfection which is annoying but very much needed.

It was a great honour to shoot the restaurant at the British Film Institute on Stevens street in London. They where all set up for a significant evening with some of Britain’s best actors and wanted to capture the venue with the extra lighting. Shooting a room like this can be difficult as there is no natural neutral to set my white balance. Fortunately, it was not the first time I have had such a colourful backdrop; I had a few tricks up my sleeve. The bar is shot in the daylight and love how the blues and brows play in this image.
