I love any kind of printed photography. There is something special about opening a box from the photo lab and seeing the images for the first time, not on a screen, but in your hands.
Over the years, I’ve collected it all: photo books (a very special love of mine that didn’t come right away), canvases and classic prints. With time, I realized that canvases are probably not my format, even though I never stopped loving them.
To me, a canvas feels like something “forever” or at least for a very long time. When you start wanting to refresh your space or change the image, and taking it off the wall feels almost painful.
With framed photographs, my relationship feels more flexible. You can change the images anytime you want, adapting them to your mood or your home.
So today, my choice is photographs in frames, simply my personal preference.
What do you prefer: canvases or framed photographs?
