Lets talk LANDSCAPE IMAGES...
Personally, I love to shoot landscape images during my as an option, not always right for every platform, but when they are, they look amazing, and here's why:
Body shape β seeing a little more of the person in the frame gives a much better sense of someone's physicality. For casting directors especially, that context matters
Breathing room β a landscape crop gives the image space to live. On a website banner, a casting profile or a press page, portrait images often get cropped awkwardly close.
Environment and context β going wider lets me bring in a sense of where you are. A hint of the studio, a texture, a backdrop β it adds depth that a tight portrait crop can lose entirely
Social media and website headers β most website hero banners and Facebook/LinkedIn cover images are landscape format. Having a headshot that already works in that ratio saves a lot of cropping headaches later
So next time you're booking a session, ask about landscape options β they might just be the shots you reach for most.
