London Through the Mist

Time softened the sea, but the old timbers remained.

I created this long exposure to capture the quiet movement of the water around these weathered coastal defences—a peaceful moment beside the sea.

Today was all about learning to fly my drone in the park.

I’m still getting used to the controls and trying to keep every movement slow and smooth. There were a few nervous moments, but each flight gave me a little more confidence.

It’s a completely new way of seeing the landscape and I’m looking forward to discovering where it takes my photography next.

Playing with shutter speed and the movement of the sea. I nearly dismissed this photograph, but looking again, I love the soft layers and energy in the wave.

Although I’m blind in one eye, photography has given me a unique way of seeing the world.

Every photograph I share reflects my passion for exploring, creating and seeing familiar places from a different perspective.

Had an amazing day yesterday exploring a local nature reserve in search of the elusive kingfisher 🐦💙

I have to say, these little birds are unbelievably fast — blink and you miss them!

It was also lovely meeting some great people and spending time together in the kingfisher hide at Rye Meads Nature Reserve. The staff were really friendly too, which made the visit even better.

Definitely a place I’ll be returning to again soon!

Good morning everyone 😊

Firstly, I want to apologise for being a bit quiet on here lately. Life’s been wonderfully busy as we’ve welcomed a beautiful new granddaughter into the family 👶💕—so photography has taken a bit of a back seat for a little while.
