Where my love of dogs first began… with this scraggy old dog called Taffy. 🥹

My mum bought him for me when I was just 4 years old, and he quickly became my most treasured possession.

Taffy came on every family holiday, slept beside me every night and was my constant companion. After three years of relentless begging, my parents finally gave in and bought me my very first real dog when I was 7. And of course, I named him Taffy. 🥰

I had every dog book you could possibly imagine, and my mum still laughs now about how I used to say I’ll never get married when I grow up, just have lots of dogs 😂

As I’ve got older, life has become much busier. I’ve become a mum myself and like most people, I often feel like I’m constantly juggling everything. But one thing has never changed: the love I have for dogs.

Their unconditional love, unwavering loyalty and quiet companionship have been a constant through every stage of my life. They don’t care what kind of day you’ve had or what you look like - they’re simply there, offering comfort, joy and love without expecting anything in return.

Looking back, I realise that little scraggy little dog started something much bigger than I could ever have imagined. He sparked a lifelong love of dogs that has stayed with me ever since, and I know always will. 💜

Every dog has a personality worth remembering, and my goal is to capture it, one image at a time. 💜
