The Co-op is now looking for local causes to apply for the Co-op's community fund for 2022/3 and I thought you / your organisation might be interested in applying.

The Co-op Local Community Fund helps pay for local projects that our members care about. Every time members buy selected Co-op branded products and services, 2p for every pound spent goes to you, our Members and we'll give the same to support community organisations and local causes. The amount you would receive would depend on members choosing your cause to support.
I'm hoping this has piqued your interest and you can perhaps think of how your organisation could make use of the community fund and the support I and the co-op could provide.

This is a very quick summary of the criteria:
To apply, you must meet the organisation requirements set out by Co-op's Local Community Fund.
Your cause and your project also need to be in keeping with Co-op's values.
We’ll be looking to support projects that fulfil one or more of the following:
• Bring people together to access food
• Help improve people’s mental wellbeing
• Create opportunities for young people to be heard and make a difference
• Help people protect biodiversity or tackle climate change by reducing carbon emissions
How do I apply if I meet the criteria?
To be considered your application will need to be received by 29th May.

Co-op will let you know if you're successful in October and if you are you’ll be part of the Local Community Fund for 12 months from October 2022 to October 2023 (with potentially 2 pay-outs, one in April 2023 and the final one in November 2023).

All applications are to be made online through www.co-operate.co.uk (when the application window opens on May 3rd)...Co-operate is our online Community Centre. (Please make sure if you haven't already, that you register on Co-operate as soon as possible. You can also list your Events and Activities there, plus you can volunteer or advertise for volunteers there too.)
