“What should you wear for family photos?”

The biggest secret to beautiful family photos?

Comfort 🤍

Soft, neutral tones always photograph beautifully because they keep the focus on connection rather than distractions.

My biggest tips:

* choose outfits you can move comfortably in
* avoid large logos or busy patterns
* coordinate rather than match perfectly
* think textures and earthy tones
* barefoot is always a good idea

Most importantly:
choose clothes that feel like YOU.

Why should I be your Leicestershire newborn photographer? 🤍

Because I’m not here for perfectly posed smiles and everyone looking at the camera.

I’m here to capture the way your baby melts into your chest. The way you instinctively stroke their hair. The tiny in-between moments that already feel like home.

My sessions are slow, calm and completely led by your baby. We pause for feeds, cuddles, nappy changes and moments where you just need to breathe for a second. There’s no rush here.

I want you to feel looked after too — especially mums. Even if you don’t quite feel like yourself yet, you deserve to exist in these photographs. Your children will never care about the tired eyes or postpartum changes. They’ll care that you were there, loving them exactly like this.

I’ll guide you through the entire session so you never have to worry about what to do with your hands or how to “pose”. Mostly, I just want you to soak this in.

For many families, this is one of the first times leaving the house with their baby, and I don’t take that lightly. I want my space to feel safe, relaxed and judgement-free — somewhere you can ask questions, share your experiences and just be yourselves.

Because one day, these photographs won’t just show you how it looked…
they’ll remind you how it felt.

When is the best time to book maternity photos?”

By this stage:

* your bump is beautifully visible
* you’re hopefully still comfortable enough to move around
* and we can create relaxed, connected images without rushing

But honestly?

There is no “perfect” way to do maternity photos.

You can borrow something from my client wardrobe and come to my studio.
Wrap yourself in something soft at home.
Include your children.
Include your partner.
Or keep it completely intimate and simple.

This season deserves to be remembered — exactly as it feels right now 🤍

That’s exactly why you hire me.

You don’t need to know what to do or how to stand perfectly. I’ll gently guide you every step of the way — from where to place your hands to how to move naturally together. But the most beautiful moments aren’t the “poses” at all… they’re the little in-between moments that unfold naturally when you’re with the people you love most.

The soft kisses on your baby’s head, the gentle rocking, the shushing, the smiles you can’t help but give each other… those are the moments I’m really capturing.

You don’t need to perform for the camera. You just need to love on your family, and I’ll take care of the rest 🤍

Newborn photoshoots can take place in my cosy studio of the comfort of your own home. It all just depends on the style of photos you’d like to come away with 🥰

All sessions are completely baby led. Although I follow a workflow, if baby doesn’t like a particular pose, we move on! I gently guide your family through every pose during your photoshoot! I adore capturing the love and connection between you and your babies, so even though I guide you into a pose, there won’t be any “say cheeeese” over here! Ill capture what you feel in the moment, whether you want to gently kiss your baby or smile softly at them whilst there in your arms 🥰
