There are many benefits to being a member - just ask us. We are a small friendly club of individuals interested in photography based in the Forest of Dean. Meetings are at Viney St Swithins Sports and Social club on Monday evenings from September to April at 7.15pm, and monthly during the summer months (May – August) at the Rising Sun in Moseley Green, Parkend on the Second Monday of each month. James Kelly-Smith was the first guest speaker of the 2026/27 season and it was a bumper turn out to meet him. No surprises, there is no magic trick to getting the superb landscape photos that he produces. The way is, as with so many things, lots and lots of little tricks and James took us through all the techniques in his repertoire. So now its our turn.

So the last challenge of the 2025/26 season was Flowers. and in third place was Alan Waterman with Martagon Lilly, equal second were three entries Anne Bryson with Field of Sunshine, Louise Young with Broom in Bloom and Fiona Grigg with Bring me Sunshine and top spot goes to Teresa Owen with Poppies in R**e Seed. This Monday, the 7th September is the start of the Camera Clubs 2026/27 season. Everyone is welcome to come ( free of charge) to the first meeting at Viney Hill Sports and Social club, 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start. There will be lots going on with an introduction to the club and what we get up to, the programme for the coming year, mini demonstrations and most importantly a chance for potential new members to meet existing members, to ask questions and decide if full membership is for you. And that is just £40 for the year with a £3 admission fee for each meeting.
