Save this for autumn in Edinburgh ๐๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ
There are very few cities that do autumn quite like Edinburgh. Moody skies, golden trees, old stone buildings, cosy cafรฉs and streets that somehow look even better in the rain.
If youโre planning an autumn trip, a few places Iโd make sure are on your list:
๐ Dean Village โ one of the prettiest walks in the city, especially when the leaves start changing.
๐ก Circus Lane โ tiny, ridiculously photogenic and perfect combined with a wander around Stockbridge.
๐ฐ The Vennel โ one of my favourite views of Edinburgh Castle.
โ๏ธ Princes Street Gardens โ grab a coffee and wander through the gardens beneath the Scott Monument.
๐ Victoria Street โ beautiful year-round, but the colourful shopfronts and cobbled street look particularly lovely on a misty autumn morning.
๐ The Writersโ Museum โ tucked away in Lady Stairโs Close, just off the Royal Mile. One of those little corners of Edinburgh that feels especially atmospheric on a grey, rainy day.
๐ St Cuthbertโs Kirkyard โ a bit of a hidden gem just off Princes Street, with a beautiful view of Edinburgh Castle as you head down towards the kirkyard.
My tip: donโt be put off by a rainy forecast. Edinburgh is one of those cities that genuinely suits the rain โ wet cobbles, reflections and grey skies make it even more atmospheric. Pack an umbrella and embrace it. โ๏ธ
