🤍 They can cry, but tears usually don’t appear for the first few weeks.
🤍 Newborns instinctively turn their heads toward a touch on their cheek (the rooting reflex).

One day, the house will be quieter.

The little feet that run through your hallways will grow up. The gap-toothed smiles will be replaced by adult ones. Tiny hands that once reached for yours will become strong enough to let go.

And while photographs on a phone are wonderful, they often get buried beneath thousands of other images, forgotten in digital folders, waiting for a day that never seems to come.

But a portrait on your wall is different.

☕ Introducing The Little Coffee Club ☕

A brand new monthly parent & baby social at Little Smilers 💛

The idea for this came after a lovely moment in the studio recently, when two new mums who knew each other ended up spending nearly an hour chatting while I photographed a newborn. They talked about birth stories, sleepless nights, feeding, becoming parents of two, and how their older little ones were adjusting to life with a new baby.

It made me realise just how important those little moments of connection are.

So I’d love to create more of them.

The Little Coffee Club will be a relaxed, baby-friendly space where parents can enjoy a coffee, chat with others who are in the same season of life, and have beautiful portraits taken of their little ones 📸👶

✨ Feed, pump, cuddle and settle your baby whenever needed
✨ No pressure, no judgement, just support and connection

My newborn sessions are designed to create a calm and relaxed experience while beautifully and safely capturing your baby’s earliest moments in my peaceful studio.

Newborns are ideally photographed within the first two weeks after birth, so I highly recommend booking your session during pregnancy to secure availability.

Your Package Includes

* 15 fully edited high-resolution digital images
* Your images beautifully presented on a bespoke USB or Quantum Card
* A relaxed studio session in my peaceful studio, typically lasting 2–4 hours
* Full use of my backdrops, props, and outfits
* Family, sibling, and parent poses included
* A private studio viewing appointment approximately one week after your session to select your favourite images

The remaining balance is due on or before the day of your session.

I’m currently developing a new parent & baby social experience at the studio — combining relaxed baby portrait sessions with a warm, supportive space for new parents to connect 💛

I’d love to occasionally collaborate with other lovely local businesses who support families in the early stages of parenthood.

Thinking things like:
✨ paediatric first aid
✨ baby massage
✨ lactation support
✨ women’s health & postpartum wellbeing
✨ sleep support
✨ sensory play
✨ sound bath session

The idea would be very relaxed and community-focused rather than formal workshops — more of a cosy coffee morning with helpful support available while little ones are being photographed ☕️

A little idea that came to me after the loveliest moment in the studio recently 💕☕️

I had two new mums in the studio at the same time who happened to know each other, and while I photographed one sleepy newborn, they spent nearly an hour chatting about birth, feeding, lack of sleep, becoming parents of two, and how their older little ones were coping with becoming big brothers 💛

And it made me realise… new parents probably don’t get enough moments like that anymore.

So I’m thinking of starting something new at the studio…

✨ Coffee & Portrait Club ✨

A relaxed monthly morning for new parents and babies where you can:

* enjoy a hot drink and a catch up
* meet other local parents
* have a few beautiful portraits taken of your little one
* slow down for a couple of hours in a baby-friendly space

Each family would have a short baby portrait session included, with a small number of edited images, plus the option to purchase more if you’d like 🥰

As times and shopping habits have changed, I’ve been reviewing the way I offer my photography experience to make things simpler, clearer, and more accessible for my clients.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll be introducing a new pricing structure with straightforward packages that include your photos from the start — making it easier to know exactly what’s included when booking your session.
