We’re delighted to announce that our next For the Love of Sharks event will take place on Friday 27th November 2026 at the Royal Geographical Society, London.

This special evening will bring together shark lovers, ocean advocates, scientists, storytellers, and conservation supporters for a celebration of sharks and the vital work being done to protect them.

We’re also excited to announce our first two guest speakers:

🦈 Make every dive count!

The Great Shark Snapshot is back from 18th to 26th July 2026, and we’re asking divers, dive centres, clubs and anyone in the water to help record sharks, skates and rays.

Every sighting adds to a growing global picture of where these species are being seen, helping scientists and conservationists better understand shark and ray distribution and population changes.

Taking part is simple:
🤿 Go diving or snorkelling
🦈 Keep an eye out for sharks, skates and rays!
📲 Log your sightings through the Recording Hub or the Shark Trust app
📸 Photos are great, but not essential

Whether you spot a Silky Shark out in the deep blue, a skate on a local dive, or a Smallspotted Catshark gliding through the kelp, your sighting matters!

A short write up on Caroline's recent trip to Cat Island, to dive with Oceanic Whitetip Sharks for a special The Shark Trust project, is up on Scubaverse today.

Cat Island, in The Bahamas, is an amazing place to dive with Oceanic Whitetip Sharks. During the months of April through June they are abundant.

The event raises money for The Shark Trust and Caroline will be there to chat all things shark and underwater photography.
