A very special encounter, knowing that these local Long Eared owls were knocking around again I decided to take my little girl up to see if we could spot one. After a good walk we were just about to call it a day when I spotted this beauty minding its own business. At the age of 4 I can't say how much it means to me that she had the chance to observe one in the wild.
