Wedding Day Photos has been providing beautiful photographs to happy couples for many years. Set up by Geoffrey Stemp BIPP over 30 years ago, the business developed a strong reputation for quality wedding, commercial, Public Relations and architectural photography. Working alongside Geoffrey from being old enough to carry a camera case was his son, Ed Stemp, who developed his own passion for great

photography. He established High Contrast in 2008 focusing on the fashion, advertising and corporate photography, working with brands such as Triumph International, Republic, The Postcode Lottery, Castrol, Kawasaki and Del Monte to name a few. High Contrast has been featured in '10 of the Best' by Manchester Fashion Network Out of all the entries and nominated companies, our panel of industry judges including John Lewis, Mail on Sunday, Drapers, and my-wardrobe chose you as one of the best in the North. Following Geoffrey's retirement in 2009, Ed now runs Wedding Day Photos with his wife Louise and has offices in Manchester City Centre, serving Manchester, Cheshire and Lancashire areas, however will happily travel throughout the UK and overseas! More from Emilie & Graham’s incredible wedding at Manchester Hall… ✨

The energy definitely didn’t slow down as we headed into the evening! From a little sunset walk and some gorgeous golden-hour moments, to a packed dance floor and a seriously lively party - these two and their guests knew how to celebrate! 🥂🔥

We finished the night back where part of their story began, outside MOJO Manchester, for one final creative night-time portrait. A pretty cool way to round off an epic day! 📸

Emilie & Graham, thank you again for having us along for the ride. Wishing you both all the happiness in the world and an amazing future together! 🖤✨

A huge congratulations to the very glamorous Emilie & Graham! 🖤✨

What an incredible day at Manchester Hall — from those nervous, excited moments during bridal prep and the groomsmen looking seriously sharp in their tuxedos, to an absolute confetti storm in the Museum! 🎉

We were treated to some gorgeous sunshine for portraits up on the rooftop terrace before heading across the road to MOJO Manchester for something a little more fun and cheeky…

Mojo also has a special place in Emilie & Graham’s story as it’s where they had their very first kiss when they were dating! ❤️ A special shout-out to Victoria at Mojo for being so welcoming and letting us use their very cool bar for some portraits — we had a lot of fun with these!

So many favourites from this wedding that it was impossible to fit them all into one post… plenty more to come soon!

So excited to share a few highlights from Leyla & Jamil’s beautiful, intimate wedding at Manchester Hall 🤍

Such a sweet couple, surrounded by their closest family and friends — you could really feel just how loved and adored these two are throughout the whole day.

From a lovely father-and-daughter moment during bridal prep and confetti in the Drawing Room, to portraits up on the rooftop terrace, plenty of laughter during the speeches and some stunning shots on Manchester Hall’s iconic spiral staircase.

And then the energy went up another level for the evening! An incredible dance floor, sax in full swing, and we finished the night by sneaking outside for a street portrait by Mojo — the perfect way to round off the day.

As always, it was a pleasure working alongside such a brilliant team of professionals at Manchester Hall. Congratulations again, Leyla & Jamil — wishing you both all the happiness in the world! ✨

A few more highlights from Brittany & Jack’s incredibly beautiful, high-energy wedding at Hotham Hall Estate! ✨
From the emotional speeches and our little golden-hour drive into the sunset, to portraits by the pond and on the grand staircase in the main hall, every part of the day gave us something special to capture.
Then came an epic first dance, followed by a very sweet night-time shot with Jack’s first love… or perhaps now his second — his car, of course! 🚗

A huge congratulations to Brittany & Jack, who recently celebrated their wedding at the incredible Hotham Hall Estate! 🤍

What an absolute dream of a day — a beautiful setting, wonderful people and so much energy, love and laughter from beginning to end.

We captured SO many fun and beautiful moments that choosing just a few for this first post was almost impossible! From relaxed morning preparations and their outdoor ceremony surrounded by the most stunning gardens and lavender, to drinks on the lawn, bridal party celebrations and portraits with their gorgeous classic Fiat 500 — there was so much to photograph.

I’m thrilled to be sharing some highlights from Mary & Liam’s beautiful wedding — congratulations to you both!

Their ceremony took place in a magical woodland setting at Hackness Grange, a stunning venue just outside Scarborough. The weather certainly kept us on our toes, with stormy skies and winds forecast to hit 55mph! But Mary and Liam embraced the adventure and caught a perfect break between showers, allowing us to capture their intimate outdoor ceremony and some gorgeous couple portraits in the woodland.

The whole day had such an upbeat energy — full of love, laughter and brilliant moments with family and friends. The celebrations ended with an absolute rave of a party thanks to DJ Mark Green, who definitely knew how to keep the dance floor bouncing!

If you didn’t cry at Megan & Joe’s wedding, you were in the minority! ❤️😭

The energy carried straight into the wedding breakfast with a high-spirited entrance that set the tone for the evening. Then came the speeches — quite possibly the most emotional I’ve ever witnessed. Tears flowed from every corner of the room, not from sadness, but from the sheer depth of love, friendship, and connection that everyone felt for this incredible couple.

From silly moments with their closest friends, to a golden-hour stroll through the Buxted Park grounds (complete with a surprise rainbow 🌈), the day kept serving up magic. There was fierce competition for the bouquet (seriously, those bridesmaids could give rugby players a run for their money 🏉💐), and more tears as Megan & Joe shared their first dance before the party really took off in legendary style.

We wrapped the night with a beautifully calm, romantic moment for just the two of them — the perfect pause to cool down after such an unforgettable celebration.

What stood out most wasn’t just the laughter, the tears, or the rainbow, but the strength of the team that surrounds Megan & Joe. With that kind of love and support, these two are truly unstoppable.
