My Four Seasons photoshoot package is so easy to budget for.

No remembering to put money aside for your next shoot.

No “I really need some new photos… I’ll sort that next month.”

It’s just £95 a month, built into your regular business expenses.

And every three months, you get another 15 photos.

Spring. 15 new photos.

Summer. Another 15.

Autumn. Another 15.

Winter. Yep, another 15.

By the end of the year you’ve got 60 professional photos, but you haven’t had to find the money for them all at once.

And because we shoot throughout the year, you get different clothes, locations, colours, weather (sometimes ALL the weather 😂) and a completely different feel each time.

Plus the networking, the laughs and the obligatory “does my hair look alright?” checks from the rest of the group.

ÂŁ95 a month.
4 shoots across the year.
15 photos from each.
60 photos in total.
And a lovely bunch of business owners to share the experience with.

The price of Four Seasons will be going up in January, so if you’ve had your eye on it, now would be a very good time to come and have a chat with me.

Message me “FOUR SEASONS” and I’ll send you all the info. No hard sell. You can have a read and see what you think.

Tradespeople - are you posting another photo of a finished job?
Lovely work.

But who actually did it?

Whether you’re fitting kitchens, installing cabling, repairing roofs, laying floors, changing locks or doing something I don’t remotely understand, there’s a whole story happening before you get to that finished photograph.

People at work.
Tools being used.
Problems being solved.
Details being checked.
You or your team doing the thing they’re actually good at.

That’s the stuff I want to photograph.
Because customers aren’t only choosing the finished result. They’re choosing the people they’re trusting to turn up & do the job properly. So they’re nosy, and rightly so!

So yes, photograph the finished job.
But show them who made it happen & how.

I’ve been sat on by a Newfoundland, climbed tall scaffolding despite genuinely hating heights, been a therapist on several occasions, been mansplained photography basics by a bloke in central Manchester.

I’ve photographed in a boxing ring, a vast new empty warehouse, a vets’ surgery, a cocktail bar in the Midland Hotel, a building site.

The gear & technical side of photography doesn’t interest me in the slightest.

But what I do love is the two minutes into every shoot where someone relaxes & just starts being themselves. That actual moment, every single time, that makes my job worth doing.

So happy World Photography Day, & thank you to every camera-shy client who’s trusted me to take photos of them being brilliantly themselves.

“Where do we even do the shoot - my office, outside, somewhere else?”

My answer? Wherever you actually work.

Roofer? We’re out on the job, you up on scaffolding, me up on scaffolding.

Financial advisor? Your actual office, with ‘actual’ clients, doing the actual work.

Nutritionist? Your kitchen, chopping something ridiculously healthy while we chat.

Nope, not a studio, ever. I don’t do studio shoots - stick you against a plain backdrop, ask you to look thoughtful & zilch. Boring, posed, could be literally anyone.

What I want (& you need) is proof. Proof of what you can do, how you do it & how much you clearly love doing it.

That’s what gets people to trust you before they’ve even spoken to you.

Not a nice smile against a grey background - the real thing, caught mid-job, mid-laugh, mid-whatever it is you do best.

Trade businesses have some of the best photo opportunities going BUT most don’t use them.

I spent this week with Pinnacle Roof & Build up the scaffolding, taking action shots of what they do, often focussing on their branded workwear, showcasing guys who clearly know what they’re doing.

These aren’t just a nice photos. They’re proof for a website, recruitment content for future hires, social posts that actually show the work instead of the standard photo of their latest finished roof.

Most trade businesses put signage on their vans & call it their branding. Period.

There’s so much more to show the world….

It’s National Dog Photography Day!

It’d be remiss of me not to share a few pics of my lovely clients & their gorgeous sidekicks.

I’d love it if you share pics of your dogs.

Come on, let’s celebrate photos of our besties 🧡

Do you hate looking at photos of yourself?

Everyone else looks amazing in the pic - but you….?

“I normally hate pictures of me.”

I think that’s quite possibly one of the first things Carol ever said to me.

It’s also one of the things I hear day in, day out.

People assume business photography is for confident people who love the camera. They couldn’t be more wrong!

Many of my clients would happily let someone else be the face of their business, even a smiling randomer off the street.

They just know they can’t.

But, thankfully, you don’t need confidence. You just need someone who doesn’t expect you to “perform”.

Carol explained it much better than I ever could...
