All along I always thought I knew how much I dearly missed traveling, especially hiking and trekking, over the last 18 odd months but boy I was grossly underestimating it.

Was absolutely surreal to be back and what I thought I was missing was not even close. Felt amazing to be back outdoors traveling and exploring places. Unreal. I hope there isn’t another lull before the next chance.

A magnificent, majestic and exquisite piece of art and architecture that has always left me awestruck and spellbound each time I as much as had a chance to gaze at images of it in magazines or read through its history in text books. Finally a chance to visit in person, and no words do enough justice! Such grandeur.
If only folks knew how to maintain something like this and not litter all over.

Mind blown by the 13 Pro’s dynamic range. No effects added. Early morning sunlight, yes, but still.

Must say the 13 Pro does a pretty commendable “macro” job! Quite pleased with the details in the output. And of course, this isn’t a “computational” macro. Optics FTW!

I did my waiting! 18 months of it. In Azkaban.
Oh my, how badly have I missed traveling. Finally breaking the barren streak with a 1200 kms road trip across 6 days via forest reserves and national parks, staying at such an amazing location with some amazingly breathtaking views. Much much needed break.

Back after a loooooooooong while, dug through the archives and stumbled upon this pic buried within an album shot 2 and half years ago.
Udaipur City Palace. Lot of good memories from the trip.

"Years ago, when I was backpacking across Western Europe, I was just outside Barcelona, hiking in the foothills of mount Tibidabo. I was at the end of this path, and I came to a clearing, and there was a lake, very secluded, and there were tall trees all around. It was dead silent.”
Nah, I’m kidding. This isn’t Tibidabo nor am I Joey! A beautiful throwback to the Switzerland trip. Memories of trekking along Giessbach, walking around in Interlaken.
Long exposure photos were once a distant dream and I still distinctly remember the happiness after pulling this off.

Photoshop was never in my workflow. Was first introduced to it 15 years ago when it was probably CS3 or CS4. It was overwhelming back then and it was always overwhelming to use as a mainstream tool for post processing.

Hence I’ve avoided it as much with more than capable alternatives such as Lightroom, Photoscape and Affinity.

But a man’s gotta do something during this frustrating lockdown and I decided “to hell with it” and started learning and modifying my workflow to include PS. Although all other tools did include masking and layering, it was not to the extent that PS offers, so this is my first full post processing output with PS! Shot 3 years ago at one of my most favorite hiking spots. Dover!
