Macro photography has a way of revealing a world we rarely stop to notice.

A tiny creature can suddenly become the centre of attention, full of detail, character, and personality. Looking through the lens reminds me that there’s an entire world living alongside ours, often hidden in plain sight.

And this little spider… I can’t help but think it was smiling for the camera.

Or maybe that’s just what happens when you look a little closer.

School photography has finished for another season.

It’s been a busy period, full of capturing lots of memories and meeting so many people along the way. But now I finally have a little more time to focus back on my own art and creative projects.

So what better way to represent that than with a busy little bee taking a well-deserved break to have a drink of water.

Even the busiest of us need a moment to recharge before getting back to creating.

It’s been a while since I’ve shared something.

A lot has been happening behind the scenes — from working on the loft studio project at home, to school photography and everything that comes with it. It’s been busy, but exciting seeing things slowly come together.

The other day I finally managed to find a bit of time to sit down and start something new.

This is my first drawing in this style, and it’s been great exploring a different way of creating. I’d love to know what you think and hear your thoughts on this new direction.

Photography has always been about the same thing at its core — capturing a moment — but the way we do it has changed so much over time.

From the days of roll film, where every shot had to count and you wouldn’t see the results until much later… to the charm of Polaroids, where images would slowly appear in your hands like a little bit of magic… and now into the digital era, where we can create, review, and refine instantly.

Each era has its own feel, its own personality, and honestly I love all three for different reasons. Film has that patience and unpredictability, Polaroids bring nostalgia and spontaneity, and digital gives us freedom and creativity without limits.

The exciting part is… I’ve got a new project in the works that brings me back to film photography. It’s something I’ve been wanting to explore for a while, and I can’t wait to start sharing the process with you all.

There’s something special about slowing things down again and going back to where it all started.

Stay tuned — this is just the beginning.
