Beth Louise Halstead

Beth Louise Halstead I’m inspired by nature and human stories. Fine art prints available.

Shooting mostly analogue, I love the slow, intentional process that film photography brings, seeing it as a quiet rebellion against the fast-paced, tech-led reality we face.

When someone sends me a picture of one of my prints on their wall, I feel so happy. These are moments captured in time that bring me total joy, and they’re meant to be shared and enjoyed. If I can visually bottle up even a fraction of the wonder and awe I feel from nature, then that’s enough.

I have a brand new Etsy shop filled with luscious nature inspired prints. All are shot on film, giclée printed onto hahnemühle fine art cotton paper, which with proper care should last a lifetime without fading. UK delivery is free and I’m offering 20% off until the end of January, with code HNY20 🌿

A work in progress generates its own energy field. Passion, intention and hope. The universe responds to this. It has no choice. Your work in progress has its own gravitational field, created by your spirit and intention. This field attracts like spirited entities (ideas) into its orbit.

Notes I made from Steven Pressfield’s ‘do the work’

Meditations on a long summer, France 2024 🎞️

Feeling like time is flying by so fast and the only way to balance it is to ground into the present even more. Being present bends time in a way that each moment can be savoured for just a little longer. So much is happening this year and it can feel like a whirlwind, but just grounding into the now and soaking up all the goodness each moment brings. Grateful. Excited.

A study of water 1/3, South France, 2024 🎞️

We are bodies of water, living on a body of water. I am fascinated by our complex relationship with water, how it can create, sustain and destroy, how it holds memory and may be a divine intelligence, communicating with us.

Check out the work of , water researcher who says “Water is the rebel element, it won’t conform to the laws of physics or gravity and it can’t be killed. Without it there is no life. It reincarnates for all to see and science tells us it came to Earth from outer space. Rebellious, nonconformist, eternal and alien.....just look at the power we are filled with.”

Just like plants and flowers bring uplifting life energy into a space, I aim to encapsulate this in my photography. 🌿🤍

Using traditional analogue photographic tools and rolls of film, my creative process is slow and intentional, with minimal digital input, for images that feel raw, human and untouched, a rare thing in this tech-led ai world we now live in.

All images are limited edition prints of 50, signed and dated, each comes with certificate of authenticity.
Giclée printed with archival inks onto fine art cotton paper, for museum quality prints that with good care should last a lifetime with no fading.

Perfect for gifts, for a birthday, christmas, anniversary or housewarming or to elevate your own space with the magic and wonder of nature.

It’s really a dream to be hanging my photos here, a local place steeped in history that’s also close to my heart. I’ve been visiting The Parsonage and Fletcher Moss gardens since I was little. Many of the photos on display were shot in the surrounding gardens.

The exhibition is called The Rising. I’m fascinated by the grace and resilience that plants and flowers embody, how they harness both darkness and light to grow. The seeds germinate in the darkness, building their strength to break through into the light. I see this process reflected in human struggles, how darkness and challenges can accelerate growth. In the garden, with my camera, I’m in my happy place. Here I feel energised and I find inspiration. I believe when we reconnect to nature, we reconnect to ourselves. Nature grounds us in its wise teachings but also mirrors our own resilience. It shows us what is possible, how to adapt and always find ways.
