From behind the scenes to the final images ✨

Most people see the finished photos.

What they don’t see is everything that happens in between.

The conversations
The direction.
The small adjustments.
The moments that help people relax in front of the camera.

Then suddenly, someone who was worried they weren’t photogenic is looking at a gallery full of images they love.

And that’s my favourite part of the job.

One of the things I love most about branding photography is that no two shoots should look the same. (Or at least I don’t think they should.) ✨

A few weeks ago, I spent three hours in Manchester with Rupa Duhra Ark at Rupa Duhra Ark creating a bank of images for LinkedIn, speaking opportunities, marketing, PR and her website.

Rupa is incredibly professional, experienced and passionate about the work she does, but she also wanted her images to feel personal and reflect who she is beyond her job title.

One thing that was really important to her was bringing elements of her Indian culture into the shoot, and I love how that helped create a gallery that feels both professional and genuinely authentic to her.

When I delivered the gallery, her response was:

“I am in love with Brand Me 😍 absolutely love every single photo! Thank you 🙏🏽”

Honestly, messages like this never get old.

World Cup question: who did you get in the sweepstake? ⚽🍻

Now that the tournament is underway, I can finally share some images from a recent shoot for Robinsons Brewery

Brief was:-

Lots of cheering.
Lots of celebrating.
Lots of pints.
And thankfully no actual football skills were required 😆

Shoots like this are always great fun and a reminder that the best marketing campaigns are usually planned long before they go live.

From healthcare and AI discussions to a group photo under a T-Rex 🦖 (can anyone name the dinosaur in the mcr museum?)

A fantastic day photographing the CHAIfest in Manchester yesterday, finishing with drinks and dinner at Manchester Museum.

Thank you to everyone for making me feel so welcome and to for this behind the scenes shot and for capturing the video content throughout the event.

Definitely one of the more unusual places I’ve ended a shoot! 📸✨

This weather has me thinking I’ve been targeting the wrong clients. ☀️

Maybe instead of lawyers, consultants and marketing teams, I should be focusing exclusively on people who work remotely from swimming pools.

Applications for poolside branding shoots are now being accepted.

“Now then, who’s got a pool and a personal brand that needs updating?” 😆

These images were taken for a branding client whose business gives her the freedom to work remotely around the world, and we wanted her images to reflect that.

The businesses I work with are usually looking for imagery that feels natural, approachable and modern whilst still looking professional.

A great example of how much you can achieve in just one hour.

Last week I photographed Priyanka from during a branding shoot at which is an amazing office and co working space in Stockport.

We created a strong mix of natural brand imagery she can now use across her marketing and social media, but most importantly we captured a key image for an interview feature she was due to appear in for

This is why I always say branding shoots are about much more than just “having some nice photos taken.”

They’re about creating a bank of images that help you consistently show up across every part of your business with confidence and professionalism.

And proof that you definitely don’t need a full day shoot to create plenty of useful content.

A few weeks ago I spent a couple of hours with sharks and shooting their latest campaign.

Such a fun one to be part of. Getting to work with the players, keep things relaxed and just have a bit of a laugh along the way made it all feel really natural.

It’s always a bit of a privilege being brought in to shoot something like this, especially working with two such well known brands

We kept the setups simple, added a bit of direction where needed, and let it flow so it never felt over the top

Definitely one of those days where you step back and think… this is a pretty great job.

Would you update your brand photos more often if it didn’t mean booking a full shoot?

This was a shoot with Stephanie Walch a few weeks ago in the Northern Quarter in Manchester and this is exactly why I offer these one hour sessions.

We kept things bright and colourful and just really easy and natural.

This was just an hour shoot and we still created 75+ images she can use across her website, Instagram, LinkedIn and all marketing and socials.

They’re perfect if you just need a bit of fresh content without doing a full shoot.
