Really pleased to be part of the Yorkshire Dales Photography Show for the second year running, alongside another brilliant group of landscape photographers.
The show is now hung and ready to go at The Old School Art Gallery in Muker, with a selection of my Yorkshire Dales landscape photography on display.
Being invited back for a second year feels particularly significant. Over the last few years I’ve been making a conscious effort to spend more time photographing the natural landscape and developing that side of my work. My career in design still has a big influence on the way I approach composition – something I spoke about recently in Outdoor Photography magazine – but getting out into the landscape and producing work simply because I want to make it has become increasingly important to me.
To have my work hanging in Muker again, alongside a stellar line up of photographers whose work I respect, is a real privilege – and I’m very pleased to be returning for year two.
If you’re heading into the Yorkshire Dales, please do call in and take a look. There’s some fantastic photography on the walls – and Muker isn’t exactly a bad place to spend a few hours either.
