the last stand ~ I canā€™t help but feel quite devastated by the loss of woodland habitat even if it is part of a managed forest. Iā€™ve included the last image of this set because I love how the remaining woodland appears defiant against the logging, like defenders of their realm.

An amazing scene unfolded the other evening when a heavy rainstorm made its way through the valley at sunset. I am incredibly lucky that this was the view from my bedroom so I didnā€™t have to get wet!
