London has always known how to do weddings well.

The old town halls. The quiet anticipation before the doors open. Confetti on the steps, a little black dress, a beautifully cut suit—and the unmistakable feeling that something important has just happened in the middle of the city.

Whether you are planning an intimate ceremony at Marylebone Town Hall, a stylish celebration in Chelsea or a full wedding day that continues long into the evening, your photography should feel complete, not compromised by the size of the occasion.

My micro wedding collections are created for shorter London celebrations, covering the ceremony, the people closest to you and time for relaxed portraits around the city.

Full-day coverage allows the story to unfold more deeply, from the anticipation of getting ready through to dinner, speeches and the energy of the evening.

Different celebrations. The same care, experience and attention to everything that makes the day yours.

If Marylebone, Chelsea or London is part of your wedding plans, I would love to hear what you are creating.

No ceremony. No traditions to follow. Just one very good reason to throw a party.

Paige and Chris had already made it official with a traditional Las Vegas wedding a few months earlier. Their celebration at Oad Street was simply a chance to put the outfits back on and share the excitement with 70–80 of their closest friends and family.

The evening went straight into speeches, followed by a brilliantly ambitious ch*****ne tower, food, cake and a first dance with a saxophonist and DJ keeping the energy high throughout.

I joined them for just three hours, but that was more than enough time to capture the polished portraits, the beautiful details and the wonderfully unpolished moments that made the evening theirs.

Most importantly, it was a celebration of a couple who are clearly still completely in love—and the little girl at the centre of their world.

A wedding celebration doesn’t need a ceremony or an entire day of photography to leave you with a story worth remembering.

It all started with a look over the photocopier at work.

Years later, Chloe & Jack finally got to call each other husband and wife.

Yesterday was a small, beautifully intimate London wedding with around 20 of their closest people. Chloe started the afternoon getting ready at The Landmark before a 4:30 ceremony at Old Marylebone Town Hall — timed, perhaps accidentally, to perfection.

By the time we stepped back outside, the late August Bank Holiday light was falling beautifully through Marylebone.
So we walked.

Through the streets around the Town Hall, down the cobbles, stopping wherever the light looked good, before joining everyone for a quick b**r across from The Italian Greyhound and eventually heading in for their wedding breakfast.

But the thing I’ll remember most wasn’t the locations or even the light.

It was the way Jack looked at Chloe.

A kiss on her shoulder. Her hand. Her cheek. Another one a few minutes later. Constant little gestures that probably went unnoticed by most people around them, but said absolutely everything about the two of them.

And Chloe was every bit as smitten with him.

They actually came to me fairly last minute after losing confidence in the photographer they’d originally booked. After planning their wedding for so long, they simply wanted to know they had someone they could trust to turn up and capture it properly.

Thankfully, I had the date free.
And I’m very glad I did.

Congratulations Chloe & Jack. What a lovely way to spend a Bank Holiday Friday in London.

And a little reminder: not every wedding needs to be booked two years in advance. If your plans have changed, you’ve been let down, or you’ve simply decided photography matters more than you initially thought, it’s always worth asking. If I’m available, I’m always happy to see if I can help.

A wedding gallery shouldn’t have one look. It should have one feeling.

The anticipation before the ceremony.
The details chosen months before.
That walk down the aisle.
The look between you when it’s finally done.
And the few quiet minutes afterwards when everything suddenly feels real.

Some moments need to be observed. Others deserve a little direction. Some are beautifully composed, while others happen in a fraction of a second.

For me, the important thing is that when they all sit together, they feel like your wedding.

Not a collection of trends.
Not a day spent performing for photographs.

Just the people, atmosphere, style and emotion of one of the biggest days of your lives — captured beautifully.

The best side of you, on the best day of your life.

2027 wedding enquiries are now open.

Your wedding photographs don’t all need to look the same.

Because your wedding won’t feel the same from one moment to the next.

Sometimes it’s quiet, elegant and considered.

Sometimes it’s ch*****ne before you’ve even put the dress on.

It’s beautiful light inside an extraordinary Cathedral. A kiss while everyone piles onto a red London bus. Five minutes away from the party as the sun disappears.

And occasionally it’s being picked up in the middle of a field and making absolutely certain the photographer has noticed you’re married.

I don’t want to turn every part of a wedding into an editorial shoot. And I don’t want to simply stand back and hope beautiful photographs happen either.

For me, the interesting bit sits somewhere between the two.

Knowing when a little direction will create something beautiful, and knowing when to leave everything completely alone.

Because ultimately, the photographs should still feel like you.

From the grandeur of St Albans Cathedral to a summer evening under canvas.

Andrea & Paul’s wedding had two very different sides to it and that was exactly what made it so good.

The morning at Lodge Farm was full of anticipation, plenty of ch*****ne and a very excited group getting ready together, before heading into St Albans for a ceremony inside the incredible Cathedral.

There was tradition, family arriving from Germany, singing from one of Andrea’s friends as the register was signed, and that unmistakable feeling of walking back down the aisle knowing you’ve actually just done it.

Then it was back to Lodge Farm.

The formality disappeared, the drinks flowed and the whole day gradually became the relaxed, festival-style celebration Andrea & Paul had planned speeches, live music, dancing and eventually sparklers under the night sky.

And somewhere amongst all of that, we disappeared for about five minutes as the sun dropped.

That was all we needed.

Because wedding photography shouldn’t mean constantly pulling you away from the people you invited to celebrate with you.

It should let you experience the day, while I quietly make sure you get to experience it all over again afterwards.

The first dance is only the beginning.

I’ve always believed the dance floor deserves more than an hour of photography.

Early on, everyone is still relatively sensible. Jackets are on. Ties are straight. People are holding onto their drinks and pretending they’re definitely not going to be the one making a scene later.

Give it a couple of hours and everything changes.

The heels come off. Ties become headbands. The questionable dance moves appear. Someone finds the props. People who swore they weren’t dancing suddenly haven’t left the floor for an hour.

And amongst all that chaos are some of the best moments of the entire wedding.

Huge hugs. Proper belly laughs. Friends who haven’t been together like this in years. Parents letting loose. The two of you right in the middle of it all, surrounded by your favourite people.

That’s why I love staying late.

I don’t want to photograph the first dance, grab a few safe dance-floor frames and disappear just as the party is finding its feet.

Because the dance floor at 9pm and the dance floor at midnight are two completely different places.

And very often, midnight wins.

Swipe through. It gets better as the night gets later.

Winstanley House hosted the wedding between Ashley & Carley last Friday. Having been friends with Ash since childhood, this wedding was one which was full of friends and parents I have known for many years. It was lovely to see so many old faces.

With their daughter as flower girl followed by a pony delivering the rings the ceremony really was one that people will be talking about for years. With the perfect addition of competitive crazy gold it was great to see everyone’s fun side come out.
