A quiet sunset, sandy toes, and the gentlest sea breeze ❤️

This session felt so beautifully calm.

As the evening light softened over the beach, Shell and her little boy spent time together waiting for their newest family member to arrive.

I loved the little shells placed gently on her bump a discreet nod to both the seaside setting and her name. The simplest details often tell the most meaningful stories ☺️

No rushing, no posing for the sake of it. Just cuddles, gentle moments, and a little boy soaking up these last days before he steps into his new role as big brother.

The kind of session that reminds me how special the in between moments really are.

It’s taken me far too long to post this little treasure of images! What a fun night was had with this lovely lot!

Some families bring teddies. Some bring buckets and spades. This family brought their kitchen disco. 🪩❤️🪩

Their session on the beach wasn’t about perfect poses or getting everyone to look at the camera. It was about following the children’s lead, exploring the dunes, collecting treasures, playing in the sand, and recreating the little moments that make up their everyday life with Mummy and Mama.

The best images happen when children are free to be themselves.

The beach is the perfect place for that! Room to run, play, discover, and turn a photo shoot into an adventure.

The result? Photographs that feel like them! Messy, joyful, relaxed, and full of the memories they’ll want to hold onto for years to come. Including the kitchen disco! ❤️🪩❤️

It’s easy to think the most important photos are the ones where everyone is looking at the camera and smiling.

Sometimes, the images that stay with us the longest are the quiet little details ☺️

The way their tiny hand held onto shells like treasure 🐚

These are the things that tell the story of who they were in this stage of life.

Some sessions just stay with you 🌅

This beautiful mama had her heart set on yellow flowers for her maternity session. They were nearly out of season, but somehow everything aligned perfectly for us to make it happen.

After driving for hours to get here, they arrived to the most beautiful golden evening light, and the whole session just felt calm, effortless, and full of love.

The way these two spoke about their little bean, the quiet excitement between them, the way they naturally fell into each other, it was so lovely to witness.

It honestly felt less like work and more like spending an evening with friends, soaking up those final moments before life changes in the most wonderful way.

Golden flowers, sunset skies, and a little bean already so deeply loved 🌼

And the best part? I get to meet their little one again very soon for their newborn session ❤️

One child spent the majority of the session proudly introducing me to his new best friend, Piney the pine cone 🌲

Another carefully gathered blossom petals just so she could throw them into the air again and again (the best part, she said!) 🌸

And the baby? Completely fascinated by tiny snowdrops and the way they moved in the breeze ❤️

These are the moments I love most during family sessions. Not perfectly posed smiles, but the wonderfully specific little things that matter deeply to children in that season of their life.

The magic always happens when we follow their lead. When there’s space to explore, collect treasures, get distracted, tell stories, and be completely themselves. That’s when photographs start to feel personal. Honest. Like them!

No two sessions are ever the same because no two children are the same ☺️

There’s something really special about those first days as a family of four… the quiet, the closeness, and the way everything feels just a little bit softer.

Harry kept popping in for cuddles, proud as anything, while little Max stayed wrapped up warm in mum’s arms, completely content just being held. And in between it all those small, in between moments, dad’s steady arm around everyone, the kind of calm that says we’ve got this.

This is the kind of session I love most. Nothing forced, just space to be together, to sit, snuggle, wander, and let the moments unfold.
