We would like to invite you to attend the next exhibition opening at The Heritage Gallery:

Welcome to Teesside
by Peter Benson
Thursday 30th April
Between 5pm & 7pm

The opening offers a great opportunity to meet Peter and ask any questions you may have about the work on display.
Drinks & nibbles will be provided by Iron Co Coffee House on behalf of Python Properties.

This exhibition of photographs taken by Peter from 1968 until 1999, documents a range of subjects and locations around Teesside.

The fifty black and white images on display resulted from Peter's interest in the demolition and clearance of the built environment between the Newport Bridge and the Transporter Bridge in Middlesbrough. This project started while he was a student at Cleveland College of Art and expanded to include Port Clarence, High Clarence, Haverton Hill, Seaton Carew and Hartlepool, all of which were to become parts of what is now Teesside.

We do hope you can make it to the opening and look forward to seeing you there!

Peter Benson says he hopes his pictures of Teesside taken across 30 years capture a lost community.
