Meet gorgeous Pip, we met on a beautiful day up at Cleveleys Beach (lets not talk about the tide, just dont ever believe what you read online about high tides lol)
Pip (originally called Peaches by RSPCA staff) was one of 5 lurcher puppies abandoned in Bullough Park in Accrington. The pups were found in a crate/box by police.
They were approx 10 to 12 weeks old when found. There were 4 females and 1 male. 3 of the pups were sent to RSPCA Hull. Pip and her sister, Ellie (now Nellie) went to the East Lancs branch. Pip was the last of the 5 to find her forever home.
Jenna told me "Pip is the most affectionate little girl. The first time we met her, at the RSPCA centre, she put both front paws around my neck and hugged me so tightly. She absolutely loves the beach, running free off lead to stretch her long lurcher legs!
She has healed our hearts. We lost our 15 year old Cocker Spaniel, Millie, 4 years ago and didn't think we could ever go through the grief again. But then we realised that we could give a dog in need a home, a decided that the rescue route was for us. So we rescued her, but really, she rescued us."
