An aerial 360º view of the remains of the Duke of Lancaster ship.
The Duke of Lancaster, beached at Llannerch-y-Mor Wharf near Mostyn Docks, on the River Dee, was a British passenger ferry that first set sail in 1956, designed to transport people and vehicles between the UK and mainland Europe. After serving its primary route, it was repurposed as a leisure vessel and later fell into disuse, eventually becoming a stationary attraction in Wales. Despite its long period of inactivity, the Duke of Lancaster remains a notable example of mid-20th-century maritime engineering.
