The flawless Lawless wedding 🌞
My second destination wedding (hint, hint, pls hire me for your gorg weddings abroad!) and WOWEE, Freya and Robert know how to bring the energy! From tequila shots handed out at the ceremony, to the groom himself piping the top table in - it was certainly a day to remember. And I feel very lucky to have been asked to document it!
Once again this one felt a little more special. Freya and I actually went to the same high school and crossed creative paths a few times over the years. Although highly modest, Freya is an award winning interior designer () so I knew every single detail of the day would be beautifully curated - I was not wrong! Effortlessly stylish, lavish but comfortable, classy, chill and filled to the brim with fun - every nail was hit perfectly on the head. Celebrating in the stunning Château de Garde surrounded by vineyards, Robert and Freya partied the night away with friends and family. Thanks again guys!

Next up, this lovely pair! I'll be sharing some highlights from a few of my couples sessions over the coming days. Party and detail shots from each day will follow! 😆
Talk about fairytale wedding, L&A tied the knot in St Salvator's Chapel, St Andrews - celebrating their love story in a place that was so very special to them both.
A big part of my job is getting to know my couples well, which is often one of my favourite parts too. Making sure that I feel like a familiar and safe person on your wedding day is something I take very seriously, after all, I'll likely be spending a lot of time with you! And much like I found when shooting travel portraits, knowing someone more personally often leads to photos you can really FEEL.
We spent a few afternoons together in St Andrews, wandering through all Lauren & Alistair's favourite spots, brainstorming ideas, discussing all the little details that were important to capture and any worries or questions the pair had for me. A beautiful day, filled to the brim with big smiles, belly laughs, and love.

Time to get some of these weddings up on the grid! What beautiful summer of weddings it has been, I feel so lucky to have been trusted to document so many of your gorgeous wedding days. It's always an honour, and one I take a lot of pride in.
Not only has it been a magic summer of weddings, but many of them have felt extra special. I actually grew up with Scott and his twin brother Duncan. Our mums are close friends so babysitting was often a mutual favour. Lots of memories of our childhood together, fast-forwarded into one of life's biggest journeys. Although we've not seen each other since we were wee it felt like a bit of a full circle moment seeing Scott tie to knot with the beautiful Estefania. Their love and connection was so obvious, it filled the room and radiated from everyone there too. And let's not forget to mention these two being absolute superstars in front of the camera! Maybe the tequila helped 😉

HEY, I'M JEN 🌞
So it occurred to me, I've never really done a proper introduction on this page?! And besides from that, my business profile pic was painfully outdated (back before I had my trusty fringe, help!). Anyway, let me introduce myself to you, new followers, OG peeps and everyone in-between.
My name is Jenny, Jen for ease, and I'm a Scottish photographer based in Angus. I've had a camera in hand from as young as 12 after hijacking my dad's point and shoot at every given opportunity. My love for photography started in a place I always come back to - nature. I spent hours photographing flowers, bees, animals, landscapes and even my friends...when I convinced them to do some modelling (many, many funny photos unfortunately lost here).
At the age of 16, I left school to pursue my passion and escape environment that didn't work for my learning. I found comfort in using photography to communicate things I found hard to say out loud and created a lot of work I'm still proud of during my studies. After securing my HND in Photography I set off travelling the globe with my then partner, from Vietnam to Australia and many, MANY stops in-between. Working every summer on the West Coast of Scotland tourist route, we'd save our money and spend the winters globe trotting. Along the way I picked up odd photography jobs, including my first ever published piece in Australian Outback Mag, I was so damn chuffed with that! Covid ended that adventure streak pretty sharply, although I managed to squeeze in plenty more adventures solo. Now I've settled in Angus with my Romanian rescue dog, Apollo. Not the path I ever thought I'd be on but very content in life being a wee barista and photographer, enjoying a solid life to work balance and spending as much time outdoors and with loved ones as possible.
Outwith photography, you'll find you running trails, climbing rocks, finding weird trinkets on the beach, crafting, jigging to some Scottish trad, talking to my plants and generally just being a bit daft.
I'll be sharing a bit more about the work I do in the coming days, so keep your eyes peeled! 🌿
