Had a trip out to Stock Gill Force Sunday early doors with Colin Yates, hoping to capture some autumnal photos. Lots of colourful leaves on the floor but still lots of green on the trees.
Took loads of images but I did shoot at various shutter speeds to try a different look to the water. Shot anything from 1/5th sec right through to 6 seconds, used a polariser which had a massive effect with the glare on the water, game changer in fact. Also did quite a bit of focus stacking trying to keep everything in focus from front to back, hence the loads of image taken, also did a pano 🙂 ( photo dump time )

We had a couple of models over at our club night ( Lancaster Photography Society) on Monday, bit of a steam punk and Adam Ant theme going on. Great evening with some half decent images taken from the night.

Spent the morning down on the promenade photographing St John's Hospice Colour Dash. What a fantastic morning and such a brilliant turnout. Spent most of the time at the Blue colour station run by Roberts & Nicholls plumbing services LTD. It was way to far to walk to all the other stations so camping up seemed the best idea to me :). All photos will be sent to the hospice for them to do with as they please. A massive well done to everyone who took part from the organisers through to everyone that took part in the dash.

Been dabbling with a bit of OCF (off camera flash) recently and doing a few car shoots on Morecambe prom with a few fellow Tog's. Shot some lovely cars over the last few weeks, Seat Leon's, Cupra's, an Old Opal Manta GTE, an Alfa Romeo Giulia, A Toyota C-HR Hybrid and a beast of an old American Plymouth Coupe Rat Rod V8

Lots to catch up as I have been a bit slack of late updating my social media with my adventures. :) Lets start of with a recent wedding I photographed. Tracy and Steve asked me to do the honors for their big day.
Had the service at Lancaster Registry Office, grabbed a few photos afterwards outside in their garden then the fun really began. Tracy wore an amazing Red wedding outfit, complete with Hat and shoes. There was only one thing we could do, and was shoot up to The Ashton Memorial to take advantage of the fantastic weather and Tracy's dress of course. Steve scrubbed up very nicely as well it must be said :P

Leaving the house on a freezing morning at 4.30 to drive up to the north lakes to then climb a frozen Catbells without crampons may not seem like most people idea of fun, yes it was bloody freezing and the windchill almost gave my fingers frostbite but to stand up there and wait for sunrise to come it all became worth it. Good job I have a padded bum for sliding back down the fell 🙂 First image looking towards The Skiddaw range and Blencathra. Second Photo looking towards Catbells with a sky that just erupted. Photo 3 and 4 were 8 stitch pano's looking towards the Grisedale Pike area. One pre sunrise well before sunrise, almost dark and the other just before the sun makes an appearance.

Another wedding at the Ashton memorial. I do love this place as a wedding venue. Beautiful building inside and out, great lighting and the grounds are fantastic, So many opportunities to create some wonderful wedding day photos.
This time I had a bit of extra time with the bride and groom , Mr & Mrs Kennedy to grab a few shots away from the usual ones with the Ashton memorial (although we did get them as well). Found a few new areas around the park for some cracking photos. Ant's and Mel, well ok Mel wanted to have some fun photos, well who am I to say no.
I had a brilliant day with everyone and got some lovely photos for the happy couple. Not many weddings left to do this year now but next year filling up nicely.
