I had my final wedding of 2026 this past weekend and it was a glorious way to finish at the stunning Cardney Steading on a lovely autumn day.

A huge thank you to all the couples who trusted me to film such an important part of their lives this year. It genuinely means a lot to be invited into those moments.

Thanks as well to all the awesome businesses and venues I worked with in 2026.

Now it's time to finish editing this year's films, look ahead to 2027 and start planning what's next for Next Scene Films.

In October 2015, I got married at this very same venue. Apex Hotels Grassmarket in Edinburgh ❤️

Fast-forward to May 2026, and I found myself back there, this time behind the camera, filming Dillon & Lauren's wedding. 🎥💍

And then they left me this amazing 5⭐ review:

“Matt was an absolute pleasure to work with from the lead-up to our wedding and then on the actual day. Very easy-going and his work is just fantastic!”
