What If My Child Won’t Sit Still for Family Photos?

If the thought of booking family photos immediately brings up visions of your child running in the opposite direction, refusing to smile or suddenly deciding that today is the day they absolutely cannot stand next to their sibling, you’re in very good company.

It’s one of the things parents mention to me most.

“My toddler never sits still.”

“They never smile when I ask them to.”

“I’d love family photos, but I just know they won’t cooperate.”

The good news? Children don’t need to behave like tiny adults for us to create beautiful family photographs.

Your dogs photography journey with me...

My dog photography isn't just an option tacked onto a family session. It's an experience in its own right, built entirely around your dog.

We start with a conversation about your dog, a location that means something to you both, and the kind of photographs you're hoping for, so you know exactly what to expect before the day itself.

From there, we head outdoors somewhere across Cheshire (your favourite walk, a beauty spot, anywhere that feels right for you two) for a relaxed session with plenty of time to let their personality come through.

Afterwards, we turn your favourites into artwork made for your home.

If your dog is already part of the family, they're always welcome in a family session too!

I'm looking for a small number of families and mums-to-be to join me in the studio next Thursday or Friday for a session, completely complimentary.

You'll have a relaxed, guided experience, followed by a Design Consultation where we'll go through your images together. As a thank you for your time, you'll receive an 8x6" matted print worth £79, with the option to purchase extra pieces if you'd love more.

A few things I do need:

⭐You're happy for your images to be used across my website and marketing.

⭐You're not currently booked in with another photographer for a session

⭐You're free to come into the studio on one of the two days above

He was the perfect model and gave these stunning poses all by himself!

World Photography Day.

After years behind the camera, I've realised this job has always been about so much more than taking beautiful photographs.

So in celebration of today, here are a few things I genuinely love about what I do...

Watching a family walk into their Design Consultation nervous, and leave with smiles because they can't believe how beautiful their images are.

The pictures I capture when everyone is 'in between a conversation, and it turns out to be one of the best!

Families that arrive for some relaxed shots, and then decide the more posed photos are more 'them'

Knowing that the artwork we create today will be on someone's wall for decades. That their grandchildren might one day look at it.

To every family and every business owner who has trusted me to do this work... thank you.
