We are looking for artists, crafters, retailers, companies and any other person(s) who produce anything to do with skateboarding and/or anything that has come to be from the inspirations or skills derived from skateboarding . We are looking for submissions o

f art pieces, stalls/markets, skate companies to come together to embrace the positive and creative inspirations that skateboarding has given us. It will be free exciting and vibrant exhibition, but all items must relate and celebrate skateboarding in some way. We are looking for:
-2D and 3D art
- Projections and videos (there is a small pop up cinema in the mill)
-installations
-site specific work
-photography
-demonstrations
-film makers
-crafters
Basically anything that can fit through the doors

Submissions will be taken:
Saturday 29th 12-4pm
Sunday 30th 12-4pm
or can be brought on the day on Saturday 5th September 9am – 10am
There will be very little space limitation to submissions as there is 1026 square meters of space to play around with. If you are not local and wish to courier items to us, it is at your cost and liability and must be picked up at a pre-arranged date by the courier to be returned. All work MUST be collected by Saturday 12th September or it will be disposed of, due to on-going work within Northlight Mill. Please note, anyone wanting to sell on a stall will need to provide their own table. We also require a copy of your public liability insurance for anyone with a stall on the day or wanting to show a performance piece. Here is some food for thought, the uk seems to have very little in the way of skate schools or skate community projects in comparison to other european countries . Maybe the plank factory could fill a void for a skate school and an indoor venue for skateboarding in the pendle area.......... HMMM .....

Yesterday was an amazing turn out, amazing live art, incredible skateboarding, grate exhibition and really interesting film to end the day on!

If you missed all that then you are in luck, because you have still got today to experience the plank factory (11am-3pm) and bring some friends!!
