There’s something about black & white photographs that makes you pause. No colours to distract, just the people, the connection, the laughter and all the little emotions happening in between.

As Ted Grant said, “When you photograph people in colour, you photograph their clothes. When you photograph people in black and white, you photograph their souls.”

As much as I absolutely love colour, black & white will always have a very special place in my heart. There’s something timeless about it - stripping everything back and letting the moment speak for itself. 🖤

Three generations, two little boys, and a childhood surrounded by love. 🤎

There’s something so beautiful about watching grandparents love their grandchildren. The joy, the patience, the laughter, the little moments that might seem ordinary now but will mean everything one day.

And their mum’s love is just as special - these boys are so incredibly lucky to be loved so deeply by the people around them.

These are the moments they may not remember, but one day they’ll look back at these photographs and feel just how loved they were.

I feel so grateful to be invited into families’ lives and trusted to capture the love, connection and little moments like these. 🤎

Autumn is coming 🍂

And saying I’m excited about it is a bit of an understatement.

Crazy wind, cosy knits, blankets, muddy little boots, early sunsets and that beautiful soft light that comes through the clouds… I LOVE it all. 🤎

And I’m so looking forward to capturing more beautiful local families this autumn.

If you’ve been thinking about updating your family album, maybe this is your sign ☺️

A family photoshoot is a chance to slow down for an hour or so and just spend some time together. No pressure to sit still, smile at the camera or get everyone looking perfect.

Especially perfect for shy children, kids who absolutely do NOT want to sit still (and why would they? There’s so much more fun to be had exploring!) and anyone who doesn’t feel particularly comfortable in front of the camera.

I’ll gently guide you when you need it, but mostly I want you to just be yourselves. ❤️

September is already starting to fill up, but I still have plenty of availability for October and November.
