Here's a sneak peek at Belinda & Luke's wedding at the wonderful Elm Tree in Hundleby. We were blessed with sunshine which is perfect in their lovely garden. A paradise hidden in the heart of Lincolnshire. Everyone was dressed for the occasion, even Merlin the dog! Enjoy the highlights.

This wedding had it all. Great weather, Crumpet (the dog) was part of the whole day and we had the church wedding in Nettleham and uphill Lincoln to take photos at. But most of all Lauren & Jonah were just genuinely lovely people who brought so much warmth and energy to the day. You can't help but feed off it when you're capturing the day and as I told them afterwards I couldn't help but smile the whole time I was there because the whole day was just perfect.

My first time snapping at The Barn At Willerby and a really cool wedding chock full of entertainment. They had a gospel choir, samba band, a ceilidh band AND a soul band!

Tonight I'm off to the Wedding Industry Awards to celebrate being a Regional Finalist and to find out who will be the Regional Winner. 🎊🥂

I'm excited to catch up with some of the other suppliers I've had the pleasure of working with this year and celebrate with them.

Whatever happens, when I look back on this year there's so many positives to take away. Big transformations in my personal life and changes in the way I operate as a photographer have given me a new focus and the results so far are positive, both in feedback from my couples and how I feel about the work I create. There's so much more to come. 😁

Yesterday was Rowan's 1st birthday. True to form it wasn't quite how we planned it but we got to celebrate with him and reflect on the crazy journey me and Fiona have been on. It's been wild but I wouldn't have it any other way. Some of the things I've learnt this year:

1. Embrace whatever comes your way and roll with it.. It might not be how you want it to go but that doesn't mean no good can come from it.

2. The people who truly care about you show up at all times not just in fair weather. They aren't waiting for a signal from you either.

3. Even the most mundane things can be interesting. You just need to bring a sense of wonder.

4. Appreciate the little things. The cuddles, the smile you get when you enter a room, all the firsts. The stress and fatigue of day to day life can drown it out sometimes.

5. Don't take for granted the love and support you get. Let them know that you appreciate what they do for you.

I needed reminding of these myself at various points this year. It's been tough. Especially at the beginning. But that's life. It's tough at the start and it gets easier with practice, patience and perseverance.

Thank you to mine and Rowan's better half Fiona who is an incredible Mum and wife. I don't always deserve you but I won't stop trying.

To everyone that has shown up, asked how we are and been a part of Rowan's first year in even the smallest way. Thank you 🙏♥️👨‍🍼
