Nature’s Blessing 💚

February 1st marks the beginning of the Celtic festival of Imbolc and St Brighid’s Day.
To celebrate the turning of the season — the quiet shift from winter ❄️ into spring. 🌱
It signifies longer days, brighter skies, and new beginnings.
Just like the swirling flocks of starlings dancing at dusk, it’s a reminder that light is returning and nature is waking up again. 🌷

100% rooting for the Cormorant the whole time as it did catch the flat fish. I’ll admit I didn’t expect the Cormorant to win the battle … but it did!

Tonight’s murmuration was just spectacular.
These birds are just incredible. To be alone in nature, just myself the Starlings & of course being in Wales … lotsa Sheep 😆

On miserable wet, wintery days I look back through my photos of the Dolphins! 🥰 🐬
I miss them rather a lot during the winter!
This one was taken towards the beginning of the season last year in flat calm conditions (very rare in Welsh waters). Definitely one of my favourites from 2025!

The contrast of a wintery setting combined with the incredible plumage of Starlings really does make their colours pop! This one couldn’t have posed better for the camera 🤣
