Her service-focused, meticulous, and creative approach makes Akanksha her client’s favourite choice for exceptional images. Akanksha acts more than a photographer when working with her clients. She helps them completely embrace themselves for who they are within and captures their best version. Connecting her clients on an emotional level with themselves and their audience through the power of vis
ual story telling is what she strives for rather than just taking pretty pictures. People want to see the face(s) behind the brand/business and know their story. Akanksha helps her clients be an expression of the life that thrives within, a true leader and shed all the layers of outer impressions. Her work is an offering and not a self-image entanglement. For the leaders and entrepreneurs of the world, it’s very important that they feel really connected to themselves and be an expression of that. Akanksha moved to the UK in 2018 and set up her business from scratch in a country where she knew no one. This is her story in short…
BE AN EXPRESSION AND NOT JUST AN IMPRESSION! Every day is a tremendous possibility and opportunity. Opportunity to shed all the impressions - social, political, family, everything and be an expression of Life! What life knows best is to thrive and nothing else. Yes, there can be outer situations when you have to do just what is needed but within yourself, you have a choice to be how you want to be. In my time, coming from a typical middle-class family meant being a doctor or an engineer and having a nice job. In 2007 I graduated as an engineer and landed a Software Development Job at a multi-national company. 8 years in the industry and the journey wasn’t I wanted to carry on with. It was a loud and clear voice that I wanted a change. I had gone past the situations where I ‘needed’ that job. I wanted joy while earning a living and not living to earn. To cut the long story short, I decided to leave the corporate world in 2015. Photography as a career wasn’t an overnight choice. It was a well-thought-of decision and I dedicated myself completely to learning from the best in the world. Creativity has always been at the core of my heart and time & again I realised how much I enjoy my work now. My first business was in partnership with another photographer. Moving to the UK wasn’t an easy decision as it meant starting off again. But here’s my favourite quote from Sadhguru – “Your ability to respond is limitless”. And I took the change as a challenge as well as an opportunity. The last 4 years were not a joy ride at all but they are the most precious years. I’ve learned what I didn’t learn during my engineering or 8 years of a corporate career. I’ve felt vulnerable more than I have felt strong but I don’t like one thing – to give up! I KNOW what I do best and I want my craft to help people understand that they have a choice every day of their life on how they want others to experience them. My work is a catalyst bridging the gap between expression and impression. I’m also more than my business, I’m a mummy to a lovely & utterly talkative 8 years old girl and wifey to a very supportive husband. You can talk to me about spirituality and entrepreneurship at the same time. Picnics and walking in the woods with family is my ideal kind of a way to spend my weekends.
