An Israeli state owned factory means all profits from sales elsewhere also fund the genocide directly. It could make teddy bears and profits would fund the Israeli state. Shut it down.

A whole day I’ve been lost for words.

We planned a trip to the National March in Scotland, you drove us to Glasgow fought with Mohammed all the way there and back in the car. You drove picked us all up from our front doors and dropped us all off. When we went for dinner after the march in the rain we had to conspire to pay your share of the bill because you wouldn’t take a penny for fuel.
I can’t count the number of times you dropped me home after a protest, picked me up early for a blockade, ran around the city doing doing 5 events for Palestine in a single day, the long chats in the car, the coffee after events, planning birthday cakes, Eid! And always being there for anyone else.

What a beautiful launch event for TAHMINA ALI book, Spoken. It felt entirely surreal to walk into a room and see my photograph on a book cover. When Tahmina reached out a while ago to ask if she could use the image for her poetry collection, I jumped at the chance it was a true honour to be asked.
Attending the launch at 51 Lime Street this week was wonderful. She set out to make it feel like her home, complete with good food, house plants, and children running around. It was a powerful evening, featuring several poets, each bringing their own unique style to the stage. Some made us laugh, some made us cry, but they all made us feel.

Two years on since we’ve seen riots in the north east of England following the horrific scenes that we seen in Southport and yet nothing has changed. We see the far right emboldened by politics and the media we see a number of attacks on mosques massively increasing in this country we see visible racism increasing and inequality is growing. We have learned nothing in the two years since.

The scenes that I had seen that day are one’s I will never forget. I encourage everyone to head over to رولی کہانی page and check out the videos that she has on her page. They are on the top two rows showing Hartlepool, Sunderland and Middlesbrough. Go buy Taj Ali book to learn about the history we are repeating.

Thanks for the memories

I thought I would miss this due to it being cleared before I was back. Thankfully I was able to make it in time.

Keegan is the first manager of Newcastle in old enough to remember, I didn’t know how good we had it, it was the best performing Newcastle had been in my parents life time too, for me being near the top of the league was normal. It faded fast. He knew when Mike Ashley was gone Newcastle would grow and he was right.
