This little girl was a little ball of energy! We had dancing, we had teddy bears and of course we had balloons.
It can be difficult at this age to keep little one contained on a background, but we managed to get some gorgeous pictures in the end.

Behind the scenes (part 1) of a lovely lifestyle session. These sessions are lovely and natural, no wrapping of baby and no posing them in props. The combined session can include some posed beanbag pictures as well, but the other sessions are purely relaxed sessions with natural pictures.

🎄It’s that time of year again (and I have no idea how it’s come around so quickly!). 🎄

Bookings for Christmas photoshoots for 2026 are now open!

These session do fill up very quickly.
They sold out super quick last year, and I won’t be able to add any extra dates so once they’re gone they’re gone.

Again all 4 sessions are at Paddlepod, 2 are at Camperdown(Killingworth) and 2 are at Shiremoor.
Please make sure that you have selected the venue you prefer,

🎅🏻Wednesday 21st October- Shiremoor
🎄Monday 2nd November - Killingworth
🎅🏻Monday 16th November - Shiremoor
🎄Wednesday 2nd December - Killingworth

Once on the booking page please select the type of photoshoot first (single child or sibling session) and then it will ask you for your venue. Once you’ve selected the venue, skip forwards on the calendar to October, November or December and the available dates for that venue will show up.

As with last year there is a £10 deposit for single child sessions and a £20 deposit for sibling sessions. These deposits are non-refundable but will come off any purchase on the day.

Prices remain the same as usual:

£20 for 1 picture
£35 for 2 pictures
£45 for 3 pictures
£60 for 4 pictures
£75 for 5 pictures

There will be 2 background options to choose from.

Please note turn around time to get pictures back will be within 2 weeks (2 weeks is the maximum you’ll wait for your pictures to be edited and returned). Please bare this in mind when booking your date if you are looking to order cards or prints in time for Christmas.

Newborn photoshoots are my most popular sessions, and personally I hate going to a business page and struggling to find upfront pricing. So I’m trying to keep everything upfront, and prices easy to find.

These are the newborn price lists for studio style, and for lifestyle session. All other packages (including bump to baby and babies first year) can be found on my website.

Prices may change, but I’ll be clear about them if they do (the website will always have the most up to date prices displayed).

The only additional charges are if you’d like prints of extra digital downloads, but there is no obligation.

Such a gorgeous photoshoot. Seems like only yesterday it was his big brother’s newborn session. Always so lovely to see families growing ☺️

I’ve had multiple people asking about Christmas photoshoots.

They will be available to book soon, I’m just waiting on the venue getting back to me about dates and then I can the booking page set up and ready to go.

You will hear about it here first when the sessions are ready to book, before they are advertised elsewhere.

Studio style vs lifestyle newborn photoshoots. Little smilers photography offers both.

Studio style pictures are posed. Plain colours backgrounds, and props. Baby will be wrapped up and depending on the package we can also try unwrapped pictures too.

Lifestyle sessions are much more relaxed and natural. Your home is the backdrop. Pictures in baby’s nursery, in their cot of Moses basket, pictures of baby on your bed. We utilise your home so the pictures truly capture that magical moment for you of where you were when baby first arrived.

I also offer a combined session, with all of the natural lifestyle pictures, and some poses pictures of baby on the beanbag.
