The cat (or should that be Tyger) is out of the bag - First image from the photo session earlier this year with for their forthcoming album and tour.
The shoot was in a steel foundry in the North East - could it possibly get more heavy metal???

Small roundup of 2025 shots and why they are significant to me...
and - A call out of the blue "I'm playing your town tonight, will you take photos?" - I live for those calls!!!

- So open and adaptable in allowing me my vision of using one of the largest buildings in the city as a backdrop and lighting it up in the dark. Great to have this published in Digital Camera Magazine too.

- photographing this amazing band in a small club in Newcastle then seeing them a few weeks later opening for Marilyn Manson at Wembley Arena. What a trajectory and great to see my images used on the band's reels and posts.

- A favourite band of mine for years but never seen live. That changed in 2025 and I love the images captured from their ethereal set.
official - Another unexpected pleasure when the Tygers of Pan Tang (see recent post dedicated to these fine friends) asked me to join them for their Newcastle City Hall show supporting Saxon. The City Hall is a fine venue where I saw Saxon in the 80's, it was a pleasure to return and photograph them in 2025.

Thanks to all of the people and bands I worked with last year and really do hope to see you all very soon.📸

Taken by Steven Christie, who has been responsible for many of the photos that we use, he has entered it into a competition. Huge congratulations to - announcing their support slot for the forthcoming Marilyn Manson euro tour!
Just two weeks ago these photos were taken in a small venue in Newcastle and it was obvious to all that the band was destined for big arenas!

The versatility of hand-size speed light flashguns. Here, I lit a huge section of prominent architecture using just two Yongnuo yn600ex-rt ii units with a third for the band near dusk.
A fun shoot (as ever with Juliet's Not Dead) and a great way to spend a summer evening!
