As summer drew towards its closure, we enjoyed a visit to Newton Hall a couple ofweeks ago for Tracy and Darren’s wedding.

It had been four years since we last photographed there so it was great to see how much the venue had changed in that time.

The big story of the day though was our lovely couple, who had a great day in the sunshine with their guests. We even managed a trip to the beach after the wedding breakfast and timed it perfectly with a lite sea fret coming in. Stunning!

We had such a great time with them both and wish we could do it all again!

Hot off the back of their mini wedding a day earlier at the Civic Centre, Libby and James celebrated once again with more guests in Ouseburn.

If their first day was about them, this day was all about their friends and family. Minimal formalities all day, just a super laid-back.

Everyone mucked in to make it happen, setting up a beautiful ceremony room and erecting gazebos in the wind.

There was lots of food and dancing too, so here’s a quick peek into their diy wedding day!

The end of a busy week follows a busy month, which follows a busy year so far. The great thing about us is that we love what we do, so bringing the energy, even after a busy summer is not a problem.

Matching that energy straight back to us were Fiona and Glenn, who married at the Common Room in Newcastle yesterday. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us into their day. They were up for everything we suggested and were so much fun to work with.

We already knew we were each other’s people (cat parenting is absolutely a form of bonding) and yesterday just stamped and sealed it.

We had a bunch of options for previews but we think this one just sums them up perfectly.

Thank you so much for yesterday, for having us there with you and for being so amazing. We loved every minute of it! Congratulations!!

We’ve photographed lots of weddings this year, varying from small to large, but we were excited to photograph a tiny wedding yesterday. By tiny, we mean just James and Sophia.

They travelled all the way from down south to marry at Langley Castle, the first stop on their road trip up and down the country.

We had to battle with the wind a little, and Sophia did a great job hanging onto her veil as we headed out for photos at Hadrian’s Wall.

We found a little shelter, got them sat together and capture this amazing shot of them both looking off into the landscape of Northumberland. There’s many places in the world that they could have married, but they chose one of the best places on earth to say “I do”.

Congratulations to you both!!

Some weddings are loud. Some are all about being in the middle of everything. And some are just about having a really good day.

Becca and Lewis are definitely in the latter camp.

Neither of them are particularly keen on being the centre of attention, but that didn’t stop them throwing themselves into a brilliant day with their friends and family.

Here’s a little look into their day at Barn on the Bay.

Congratulations guys. It was a pleasure being there to document it all.
