The wedding gallery wasn’t quite the end. 🖤📸

Today I made a little delivery.

A handful of photographs from a beautiful August wedding. Printed, wrapped up and delivered to the couple.

Were prints included in their photography package?
Nope. 😁
Did I have to do it?
Also nope.
Did I want to?
Absolutely.

Because they trusted me with one of the biggest days of their lives. They let me into the quiet getting-ready moments, the nerves, the laughter, the ceremony, the celebrations and all those tiny things happening in between.
So this was simply my little thank you for choosing me. ❤️

And there is something about a photograph on paper that still gets me.

We take thousands of pictures. We swipe. We scroll. We save things to folders and promise ourselves we'll look at them again.

But a print?
You pick it up. You pass it around. You put it in a drawer, a box or a frame. And one day, years from now, somebody picks it up again.
That's when a photograph becomes more than a file.

Also… I couldn't resist the black & white. 🖤🤍
Some wedding moments just belong in monochrome.

And yes, the golf buggy bride absolutely made the cut.

✨ A New Chapter for MKS Photography ✨
Some of you may recognise this logo...
It has been with me since 2017.
It has appeared on thousands of photographs, travelled across the UK and beyond, and been part of so many incredible moments, from weddings and birthdays to conferences, charity events, restaurant launches and everything in between.
When I created it, I was just beginning my journey. Like many small business owners, I wanted to do a little bit of everything and was excited to see where photography would take me.
Nearly nine years later, I can honestly say it has taken me further than I ever imagined.
I've had the privilege of working with amazing people, fantastic businesses and wonderful organisations. I've photographed events I could only have dreamed of when I first picked up my camera, and every experience has helped shape both me and my business.
As my photography has evolved, it felt right for my brand to evolve too.
Today, I'm proud to introduce the new look for MKS Photography.
The logo is simpler, cleaner and more timeless—reflecting the direction my business has taken and the work I now specialise in: premium event, corporate and commercial photography.
Although the logo has changed, the things that matter most haven't.
❤️ I still get excited before every shoot.
📷 I still believe the best photographs tell real stories.
🤝 I still value relationships over transactions.
😊 And I'm still incredibly grateful every time someone trusts me to capture an important moment.
To everyone who has booked me, recommended me, liked a post, shared my work or simply encouraged me over the years...
Thank you.
You have helped build MKS Photography into what it is today, and I'm genuinely excited to see where this next chapter leads.
Here's to the future! 🥂

I came to Tromsø looking for street art, Arctic scenery and two food photography sessions.

Instead, I accidentally found myself photographing a boat race.

Some things never change.

A lively crowd gathered by the water. People were dressed up, laughing, chatting and organisers were preparing boats for a race. The atmosphere was infectious, and before I even realised what was happening, my camera was already in my hands.

I suppose once you're an event photographer, you're always an event photographer.

Whether I'm photographing a conference in London, an awards ceremony in Cardiff or a community event above the Arctic Circle, my brain automatically switches into work mode. I start looking for moments, reactions, connections and stories.

The funny thing is that I had absolutely no idea what the event was.

But that's one of the things I love most about photography. Sometimes the best images aren't planned. They appear when you stay curious and allow yourself to follow whatever catches your eye.

And that's exactly why I always carry a camera.

I've photographed corporate events, awards ceremonies, supercars and tall ships.

This month I made the front cover of Voice magazine thanks to an alpaca in the Brecon Beacons who had absolutely zero interest in following any kind of direction whatsoever.

She did, however, have a lot of opinions. And apparently excellent instincts for a good shot.

Alpaca My Boots, a trek through Bannau Brycheiniog National Park with 50+ alpacas who are significantly more confident in front of a camera than most humans I've worked with.
10/10 would recommend.

Pages 6, 14 and 15 inside too, if one cover wasn't enough. 😉
