Lost Keys.
I had to pop to the Post Office today and on the way back I walked through St Woolos Cemetery and I spotted some lost Keys. It looks like they have been there for quite some time. I think they have almost certainly got a sad story to tell. I didn't touch them so they can continue to age gracefully...

A couple of weeks ago I entered the Newport Photomarathon. The results for the first six categories are published in the South Wales Argus today and one of my entries won "Old and New".
Hooray for me :0)

Went for a drive to Porthcawl last night, hoping for a nice Sunset. There was a bank of cloud all along the horizon so no sunset. Hence "Porthcawl Sundown".
I just hope the rain stayed away for the firework display later.

Sometimes it's fun to do photography at home. Some simple props, lights a tripod and in this case lots of cloths to clean up afterwards. Oh yes, and a camera.

Last Weekend I took part in the Newport Photomarathon. Between 12 noon on Saturday and 12 noon on Sunday, 140 participants in 4 age groups had to take 12 photos each one on a given topic.

1 - My Name
2 - Look Up
3 - Strike a Pose
4 - Old & New
5 - Detail
6 - Day & Night
7 - Portrait
8 - Green
9 - Exchange
10 - Squeeze
11 - Bridge the Gap
12 - Four

The first six were published at 12 noon on Saturday and the others later that day at 3pm.

The weather was kind to us on both days but some of the topics were far from kind. Here are my efforts. I’m thrilled with some and happy with others although “exchange” was an act of desperation which seemed like a good idea at the time. Please leave comments good or bad and maybe suggestions of alternate images.

Linda (My Wife) said to me yesterday, "why don't you go to Porthcawl and photograph Ophelia". Good idea I thought, so I checked the weather forecast and it said "Maximum wind-speed 31 MPH". So I didn't bother... Bu**er!
