I’ve always had a soft spot for early mornings in Redcar, when the sun starts coming up and everything’s quiet, the town feels different, calmer somehow.

This little drone clip looks towards the Redcar Beacon as the light breaks, I know the Beacon splits opinion, but it’s part of the place we all know, and it’s there every day whether we notice it or not.

No big message here really, I just love a Redcar sunrise and wanted to share a peaceful moment from home.

After videoing this lighthouse wrapped in sunset colours, I felt drawn back to see the other side of it, to watch a new day begin at South Gare Lighthouse.

This time it was early morning. Coffee in hand, sitting quietly as the sun slowly rose over Redcar and across towards Saltburn. For a short while, everything felt still. No noise, no rush, just light, sea, and time moving gently forward.

This place isn’t just a landmark. It’s part of people’s lives. Generations have walked this sand, worked these waters, and stood here simply looking out, finding a bit of peace. You can feel the pride in Redcar, the resilience, and that quiet strength that runs through the North East.

It’s home. And moments like this remind me why.
