At the end of August, I took some portrait photos of the lovely Esha for a creative photography session around the area of Ravensdale and also at the Carrickdale Gardens. This was a good experience for me to build my portrait photography portfolio and practice working with natural light and distinct environments. Ravensdale offers beautiful, rugged forest landscapes, while the Carrickdale Gardens provide a more structured, elegant, and manicured backdrop.

23/08/2026 - This day, last week, I was in Belfast photographing the beautiful Earth Child theatrical spectacle co-created by ArtsEkta and Fidget Feet as part of the Belfast Mela Festival 2026.

A theme of this spectacle: A journey through time and the elements (Air, Water, Fire and Earth), telling the story of a child searching for balance and healing in an unravelling world.

Fleadh Cheoil vibes with Belfast Ukulele Band at Victoria Square, Belfast on 08/08/2026

This was my first Fleadh Cheoil and the first Fleadh Cheoil to be in Belfast in 75 years. Because the Fleadh was in Belfast this year, it wasn’t too far away for me to attend so I jumped at the chance to photograph the world’s largest annual celebration of traditional Irish music, song, and dance. I had a great time walking around Belfast enjoying the music and taking in the atmosphere of such of a successful event, while documenting what I saw.

08/08/2026 / 09/08/2026 - This is Part 1 of my photos from Fleadh Cheoil, this day 2 weeks ago.

I am sharing my photos of Fleadh Cheoil, Belfast 2026 later than expected, which was just 2 weeks ago - I have been slow in trying to get my photos from Fleadh Cheoil posted, whereby I took so many photos to look through and edit, therefore I may have missed the momentum of the festival fever.

But I am pleased to finally share my photos now from Fleadh Cheoil, Belfast as I had an amazing time walking around Belfast while enjoying the music and taking in the atmosphere of such of a successful event, with documenting what I saw.

20/08/2022 – I have gone back and re-edited one of my favourite photos from Cloughmore Stone during sunset, this day in August 2022. Because it is one of my favourite photos that I have photographed and I have always been seeking to improve the editing of this photo.

4 years on from first initially editing this photo, I have improved with my photo editing skills with regards to balancing the light and colours much better. I feel this newly edited photo of my Cloughmore Stone photo has more life to it with the light and colours better balanced.

15/8/2026 - I have been photographing Warrenpoint Loughside Festival Fireworks Display for the past 4 years now, and each year I would try out different vantage points to get different photographs of the fireworks from different locations.

My best fireworks photographs from Warrenpoint Loughside Festival would be from 2 years ago where I photographed from the Seaview side, looking back towards Warrenpoint with the fireworks rising over the Warrenpoint Sea Baths. I didn't want to try that location again this year, so I tried at photographing from the Flagstaff this year as I haven't photographed from it for fireworks in quite a while.

The flagstaff is such a naturally beautiful viewpoint, where you are looking over Carlingford Lough with Warrenpoint, Co. Down to the left and Omeath Co. Louth to the right.

The last time I photographed fireworks from this vantage point was when both Warrenpoint and Omeath had simultaneous firework displays on Halloween night back in 2022, I believe.

15/08/2024 - This day, 2 years ago, I photographed the annual Warrenpoint Loughside Festival Fireworks Display. I have been photographing this fireworks display for the past 4 years now and I’ll look to photograph it again tonight, maybe at a different vantage point.
